Volunteers of Zaporizhia regional rapid response unit, along with emergency services, are working to eliminate the consequences of a missile strike by the army of the Russian Federation on Zaporizhia on Tuesday.

“The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) team have been working together with all the emergency services of the city. Volunteers of Zaporizhia regional rapid response unit at the scene of the emergency provided first aid to five victims, three more were taken to medical institutions of the city,” the URCS wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

URCS volunteers also provided first aid to the victims and their loved ones.

Emergency rescue operations are continuing.

As reported, according to data on Wednesday morning, the number of deaths due to a missile strike by the Russian army in the center of Zaporizhia increased to seven people, 22 people were injured, there remained people under the rubble.

As a result of the Russian missile strike on Zaporizhia on December 10, according to preliminary data, 20 residential buildings and three non-residential buildings were damaged. More than 160 people and 50 pieces of equipment are involved in eliminating the consequences of an enemy strike.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the building of a private clinic and a nearby cafe were destroyed. The blast wave and debris damaged multi-storey residential buildings, cars of local residents.
