Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, who is on a visit to Kyiv, have discussed among other things the prospects of further strengthening of cooperation on the sphere of cybersecurity, as well as training and equipment of Ukrainian brigades with the assistance of Estonian allies.

"I had the great honor of meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kristen Michal. […] Together with my colleagues, we briefed the Estonian delegation on the current situation on the battlefield and discussed prospects for further strengthening cooperation in cybersecurity. Estonia has unique expertise in this field, and we believe that together we can enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities," Umerov said on Facebook on Tuesday.

The parties also emphasized the importance of training and equipping one of Ukraine's brigades with the support of our Estonian allies.

During the meeting, Umerov informed Michal about the priorities of Ukraine's defense sector.

"We are actively developing domestic weapons production, and by 2025, these efforts will be significantly strengthened, particularly in the field of creating long-range capabilities," he said.
