Zelenskyy orders audit of training of soldiers following HQ meeting
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, following which he ordered an audit of what things require immediate changes.
"Personnel changes have taken place. It is precisely in order to reboot the system of training our soldiers. Oleh Apostol, Mykhailo Drapatiy will be doing this. Today was the beginning of the corresponding discussion at our Headquarters meeting," Zelenskyy said in a video address on Monday evening.
According to him, the president ordered a detailed report to be prepared for the next Headquarters. "And now – to do an audit of what things require immediate changes, what exactly should be corrected, what should be added and who else should be replaced," the head of state said.
He said everything necessary can be provided at the organizational and financial level.
"It is the quality of training of soldiers that is largely the effectiveness of our soldiers in battles, and, of course, it is the preservation of the lives of our guys," the president said.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky reported on the situation at the front, in particular, the defense of positions, as well as on Kursk operation.
