AFU Air Force: 29 drones shot down last night, 18 locally lost

As of 9:00 a.m., air defense units shot down 29 Russian UAVs out of 50 that attacked Ukraine last night, 18 were locally lost, one returned to the temporarily occupied territory, the press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"On the night of December 4, 2024 (from 20:00 on December 3), the enemy attacked with an X-59/69 guided aviation missile from the airspace of Kursk region and 50 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones (launch areas - Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel, Millerovo - RF)," the Air Force said on Telegram on Wednesday.

It is reported that by 09:00, units of anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down 29 enemy UAVs in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions.

"Eighteen drones were locally lost, one left the controlled airspace in the direction of the temporarily occupied territory," the press service informs.
