The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) continues to help veterans and their families adapt to civilian life.

"We continue to support veterans and their families, providing them with the necessary assistance, resources and emotional support so that they can adapt to new conditions and find strength to overcome the challenges of everyday life!.. Another social renewal event for veterans and their families took place in Khmelnytsky region," the URCS reported on Facebook on Tuesday.

Veterans and their families came to the village of Holovchyntsi in Khmelnytsky region for social rehabilitation, where they received support from psychologists, social workers and volunteers for seven days, as well as mental health assistance.

The program of the event, which was implemented with the help of the Khmelnytsky Regional Center of Social Services, included group and individual consultations with specialists, psychosocial support activities aimed at strengthening family ties, physical exercise and recreation.

This project is part of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society initiative to develop a state standard for the social adaptation service for veterans and their families and is aimed at creating comfortable conditions for the return of veterans' families to civilian life.

The URCS implements the program in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
