Deputy PM Kuleba discusses Ukraine's winter preparedness with Finland's official

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Communities and Territories Development, Oleksiy Kuleba, met with Finland's Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, Ville Tavio, to discuss key areas in Ukraine's recovery efforts where Finland's support is needed and where it plans to focus its assistance.

"First and foremost is the passage through the winter heating season," Kuleba wrote on Telegram Thursday morning. He noted that Finland has recently announced a new aid package that includes powerful generators for Ukrainian communities. "This also involves strategic directions that will shape the future of our communities – Finland's experience in modernizing energy infrastructure, implementing innovations, and using renewable energy sources will be invaluable," he added.

The two officials also discussed the protection of energy facilities, construction of shelters within communities, and the restoration of damaged infrastructure. "We focused specifically on priority sectors for investment and opportunities for Finnish businesses to contribute to Ukraine's reconstruction," Kuleba said.

Kuleba expressed his gratitude to Finland for its unwavering support and commitment to standing with Ukraine on its path to recovery, resilience, and strength.
