URCS implementing more than 80 humanitarian projects, programs – Dotsenko

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) is implementing more than 80 humanitarian projects and programs for the population, said Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the organization.

"Today, the Ukrainian Red Cross is implementing more than 80 humanitarian projects and programs for the population ... The full-scale invasion was a test for the whole of Ukraine and a turning point for our organization, forcing us to expand our capabilities and adapt to new realities. We have not just withstood the onslaught of the war, we have become even stronger, more united and more determined in our desire to help. Today, the Ukrainian Red Cross is a powerful force capable of changing the world for the better, bringing help and support to those in need, building a solid foundation for the future of Ukraine," Dotsenko said at the V National Forum of Organizational Development.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, new areas of activity have appeared in the URCS, such as the restoration of critical and social infrastructure, mobile medical teams, physical and mental rehabilitation, mine awareness, psychosocial support for the population, and emergency response. Nearly 200 centers across the country provide support for internally displaced persons, people with disabilities, large families and children without parental care.

As URCS reported on Facebook on Wednesday, representatives of regional and local organizations of the Ukrainian Red Cross are among the delegates of the forum. Over the course of three days, the forum participants will exchange experiences, share strategic plans for 2025-2030, and the main trends in the development of local organizations.
