Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, during which the parties discussed the supply of air defense systems.

"I spoke with Olaf Scholz and thanked him for Germany's significant bilateral defense assistance and its leadership in uniting partners to support Ukraine. Chancellor Scholz confirmed that the sixth planned IRIS-T air defense system will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of this year," Zelenskyy said on the X social network on Wednesday.

The parties also discussed the supply of air defense systems in 2025, as well as the possibility of additional assistance from Germany in the air defense sector. In addition, Zelenskyy and Scholz coordinated steps to ensure "the greatest possible" defense and political support for Ukraine.

"We agreed on the importance of maintaining the 'Ramstein' format and holding the next meeting of the coordination group," Zelenskyy said.

He also said Ukraine's vision of a just and lasting peace should be presented at the G20 summit in Brazil. Zelenskyy thanked Germany for its readiness to support Ukraine in these efforts.
