The current U.S. administration plans to transfer a significant amount of aid to Ukraine in the last weeks of its term, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said after talks with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Brussels.
"The current U.S. administration plans to transfer a very significant amount of aid to Ukraine in the last weeks of its term. We discussed this in detail with my counterpart. All weapons that are related to presidential powers," Sybiha said on the air of the telethon on Wednesday evening.
According to him, the U.S. aid will include, among other things, payment for contracts for the production of new weapons.
"This is crucial, and such assurances were received during the meeting of our delegations, during my meeting with Secretary of State Blinken," the minister said.
