URCS volunteers remove consequences of Russian airstrike on Kharkiv
Kharkiv regional emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) is participating in the elimination of the consequences of the Russian airstrike on Kharkiv.
"Together with the rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, employees of the National Police... and dog handlers, volunteers conducted a survey of nearby areas and went door-to-door to identify victims," the URCS said on Facebook on Friday.
The URCS volunteers unlocked the doors of apartments and helped people evacuate. In addition, they provided first aid to the wounded and handed them over to doctors. Volunteers from the "Mental Health and Psychosocial Support" department provided first psychological aid to the victims.
As reported, as a result of one of the guided air bombs dropped by the Russian Armed Forces at night, some 24 people were injured in a 12-story residential building in Saltivsky district of Kharkiv. There is also damage in Shevchenkivsky district of the city.
