As of November 5, over 96% of Kyiv's residential buildings served by municipal utilities are now connected to the heating system, reported municipal enterprise Kyivteploenergo on Telegram.
Approximately 70% of buildings operated by housing cooperatives and homeowner associations, which are connected individually upon request by their managers, are also now heated.
City authorities are also overseeing the connection of private and ministerial institutions' buildings, including those with independent heating facilities. In over 10 such buildings, heating has already been activated, with more expected to follow soon.
"Next year's budget will prioritize repairs in problem areas of the heating network and equipment. In particular, we see the need for significant repairs in the Podil district, where there have been numerous service disruptions," said Petro Panteleev, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
