Kyiv community hands over 130 electronic warfare systems, reconnaissance drones to 112th territorial defense brigade

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has handed over a batch of aid from the capital's community to the 112th separate brigade of Kyiv Territorial Defense.


"Today, the fighters of the 112th Brigade of Kyiv Territorial Defense received another batch of aid from the capital's community to the front, in particular, 130 EW systems [electronic warfare systems] of various types - trench and automobile, which are so necessary for our fighters. And six reconnaissance drones. Thanks to EW, it is possible to detect and interfere with radio, mobile or satellite communications, disable electronics, satellite navigation of the enemy. And disorient in space, changing the coordinates to false ones," Klitschko wrote on Facebook.
The mayor of Kyiv also noted that since the beginning of the year the capital has allocated UAH 600 million to help the 112th brigade.


"These electronic warfare systems, worth UAH 87 million, were purchased, in particular, from these budget funds received by the brigade. We continue to help our defenders, finding opportunities both in the city budget and with non-budget funds," Klitschko emphasized.
He also presented the fighters of the 112th brigade with awards from the capital.
Since the beginning of the year, Kyiv has already allocated UAH 8.6 billion to help the military, while for the whole of last year it was UAH 7.5 billion. This year, more than 12,000 UAVs of various types from the capital's community went to the front.
