Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with the chief of the NATO Representation to Ukraine Patrick Turner, the Defense Ministry press service reported.

"We discussed the status of implementation of the agreements reached following the NATO summit in Washington, in particular, the issue of supplying air defense systems, as well as the implementation of the JATEC and NSATU projects. I also briefed the NATO Senior Representative on the key priorities of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. I emphasized that we are working in cooperation with other ministries as a single team, bringing our country closer to joining NATO," Umerov said following the meeting.

Turner, in turn, noted significant progress in reforming the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noting that the Ukrainian army has undergone major changes that are obvious.

"Additionally, he informed his colleague about the participation of the DPRK military in the current escalation of aggression against Ukraine. He also proposed holding the next meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of defense ministers in Kyiv," Umerov added.

He stressed that Ukraine continues dialogue with NATO and synchronizes common plans for the end of 2024 and for 2025.
