The Republic of Lithuania has handed over 230 vehicles and 240 mine detectors to Ukraine as part of the Demining Coalition.

"We are honored to stand before you as we deliver the first batch of demining equipment acquired as part of the Demining Coalition. This equipment, namely 230 pickup trucks and 240 mine detectors, is much more than just a set of tools. It symbolizes our strong support for Ukraine," Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Lithuania Laurynas Kasčiūnas, during the official handover of equipment on Monday.

He also said Lithuania will continue to further contribute to strengthening Ukraine's military potential and called on other countries and organizations to join this mission.

In turn, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov thanked Lithuania for the assistance it has provided to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion. "In two and a half years, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military aid worth over EUR 705 million and has pledged to provide support annually in the amount of 0.25% of GDP. This is a significant contribution to our struggle, to our common victory," he said.
