EU Ambassador hands Report within Enlargement Package to Shmyhal
Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine Katarína Mathernová handed over the Report within the Enlargement Package to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"Today we are taking another step towards full membership in the European Union. The College of Commissioners of the European Commission approved the Report within the Enlargement Package at its meeting. During the meeting with Katarína Mathernová, the EU Ambassador personally handed over this report, demonstrating our clear progress on the path of transformation in all areas. This is one of the key documents, testifying to Ukraine's movement towards the EU, because it covers a detailed annual assessment of the state of reforms in Ukraine for each negotiating section," Shmyhal wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to him, the new report states that the European Commission is ready to open cluster negotiations as soon as possible in 2025, once Ukraine has fulfilled all the conditions.
"Our European integration is directly linked to the implementation of the Reform Plan within the Ukraine Facility instrument. We are strictly on schedule, achieving certain indicators," he added.
As reported, on October 30, the European Commission noted that Ukraine had made progress in fulfilling the criteria for membership in the European Union and hopes to open cluster negotiations as soon as possible in 2025.
