AHK Ukraine joins calls to resume employee reservation
The German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Ukraine) has announced numerous problems in business that have arisen as a result of the suspension of the electronic personnel reservation procedure via the Diia portal, and has joined calls to resume it.
"This decision could have irreversible consequences. The loss of key employees threatens not only business, but also the stability of the Ukrainian economy. The uninterrupted operation of companies that are critical to the functioning of the country is necessary both to support the defense sector and the stability of society as a whole," said Reiner Perau, Chairman of the Board of AHK Ukraine, in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Monday.
As noted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the suspension of reservation of Ukrainian workers, despite the millions of investments by German companies in supporting the Ukrainian economy during the war, threatens business and the stability of strategically important industries. Retail and manufacturing are suffering the greatest losses.
It is emphasized that the suspension of reservation and the chaotic issuance of summonses to already reserved employees put German companies in a critical situation.
"There are already enough examples: individual corporations are already warning about the possible complete cessation of their activities if the mobilization covers the production, operational or IT departments that manage the infrastructure of the entire Ukrainian network. One of the German companies is sounding the alarm due to the mass mobilization of its employees, who are issued summonses, even despite reservation," AHK Ukraine states.
As reported, after the adoption of the government's protocol decision on October 8 on the audit of decisions to recognize enterprises as critical to the economy, the reservation process was paralyzed, which caused protests from many business associations.
