Ai-Petri complex to be used to protect energy infrastructure, military-industrial complex facilities
Businessman and leader of the political party European Solidarity Petro Poroshenko handed over to Ukrainian servicemen another complex for countering technical reconnaissance means Ai-Petri SV, which will be used for the first time to protect critical infrastructure facilities, the website of the political force reported on Sunday.
"Each time we transfer three-four Ai-Petri complexes to our units for countering technical reconnaissance at a time. Today, only one. But it is with this one that we begin a new milestone in the supply of Ai-Petri to the army. The purpose of this complex will be to cover critical energy infrastructure facilities and the military-industrial complex," Poroshenko noted.
He noted that "we cannot say where and what exactly they will cover, but we plan that in the end, Ai-Petri will be used throughout the country, where critical industry and energy facilities are located."
Ai-Petri helps detect and jam signals from enemy drones. "After the shelling, you can read in the report from the Air Force: the enemy attacked Ukraine with a certain number of drones: some of them were destroyed, and the rest were lost in location. And when you read 'lost in location,' know that our Ai-Petri systems are involved in this," the politician said.
As reported, in November 2023, Poroshenko announced an investment of UAH 150 million in the development of a new system to counter technical reconnaissance, which was later called Ai-Petri SV. At the moment, funding for the project has exceeded UAH 200 million, and dozens of systems have already been transferred to the front.
"This is not only and not about electronic warfare. This is cyber security, which has unique properties, developed by specialists of our team - programmers, engineers. Today, there is nothing like this either in the Armed Forces of Ukraine or in the enemy. But we have already established serial production. In this short period of time, we have passed all types of tests of the General Staff and put it into service," Poroshenko said.
