Five residents of Donetsk region were killed as a result of Russian shelling on Thursday, head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin said.

"Russians killed five residents of Donetsk region: two in Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, two in Zelene and one in Dachenske," Filashkin wrote on Telegram.

As of the morning of October 25, private homes were damaged in Kurakhove, Pokrovsk district, a kindergarten in Kurakhivka, five homes in Dachne, and two more in Veselyi Hai. In Zelene, Pokrovsk community, two people died and three homes were damaged; in Dahestanske, one person died and one home was damaged.

In Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk district, three residential buildings, an administrative building, a power line and two cars were damaged. In Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, two people were killed and one was injured, the premises of Nova Poshta and an administrative building were damaged.

In Siversk, Bakhmut district, four houses were damaged, in Reznykivka - four more. In Chasiv Yar community, nine private houses, a multi-storey building and two warehouses were damaged.

In just one day, Russians shelled populated areas in Donetsk region 12 times. Some 228 people, including 20 children, were evacuated from the front line, Filashkin reported.
