Zelenskyy admits possibility of exporting Ukrainian drones only to Ramstein countries
Ukraine can export its drones only to countries that are participants in the Meeting on Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"I asked the Minister of Defense to think about what models [of export] could be, but I exclude the moment of export, it is very dangerous if we export to someone, and then it can be in Russia... This [export] should only be among the Ramstein countries, countries to which we can export, because they helped us," Zelenskyy said in an interview that was broadcast on the national telethon on Friday.
At the same time, the president believes that Ukraine has no right to export its drones "with all due respect" to Middle Eastern countries and other countries that did not help with weapons.
The head of state said the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is developing proposals for the export of drones.
"I asked them [the Ministry of Defense] and the Ministry of Strategic Industry to develop contracts with our relevant companies, which are the highest quality, ... provide exactly the product that they use, everyone wants to buy abroad, offer them [companies] contracts for three to five years," Zelenskyy said.
According to the president, "contracts must be developed."
