President's Office denies Bild's info about Ukraine's alleged intention to restore its nuclear weapons stockpiles
The German ezine Bild has spread something that is not true, but plays into the hands of Russian propaganda in the news that Ukraine is allegedly seriously considering the possibility of restoring its nuclear weapons stockpiles, said the Ukrainian President's Communications Advisor Dmytro Lytvyn.
"Yes, this is not the first time that Bild has spread something that has no connection to reality, but plays into the hands of Russian propaganda," Lytvyn said in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
Earlier, Bild, citing its source, reported that the Ukrainian authorities were allegedly seriously considering the possibility of restoring stockpiles of nuclear weapons.
