Zelenskyy says he had closed part of talk with allies, most of whom fully support Victory Plan
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had held a closed part of the conversation with allies on the details of the Victory Plan, and most partners fully support this document.
"I am very grateful that I had a closed part of the conversation with the allies. And after our very frank conversation ... most of those who spoke were completely on the side of supporting the Victory Plan. I am glad that they heard some details from me. I am glad that our teams will continue to work," Zelenskyy said at a press conference in Brussels.
The President also reported that he had begun communicating with some allies, on whose will the strengthening of Ukraine depends with elements that are in the closed annex of the Victory Plan, most of which concerns the attitude towards permission to use long-range weapons.
The head of the Ukrainian state recalled that he held meetings with the leaders of the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France and Italy.
"This does not mean that they are very special. I treat all allies equally and am very grateful, because everyone in their union supported our movement to the EU, and the candidacy, and supported us with various packages, various financial, military, and humanitarian packages, since the beginning of the war. But these countries have a great influence on whether to strengthen us with long-range weapons or not," the president explained.
He said that there were positive reactions to this, but it must be understood that "these countries want an alliance within, between them, regarding providing Ukraine with the opportunity to use these weapons."
