Zelenskyy: Preparations for 2nd Peace Summit do not depend on Ukraine being invited to NATO
Holding the second Peace Summit does not depend on Ukraine being invited to NATO, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"What will happen if they don't invite us? We will still fight, we will defend our interests and our rights, but at the same time we will still prepare for the second summit. These are different things," Zelenskyy said at a press conference in Brussels on Thursday.
At the same time, he emphasized that if representatives of Russia are present at the second Peace Summit, and Ukraine is not invited to NATO, then Ukraine's position will be weaker.
"It's just that our positions at the second summit, when everything is prepared there and there are representatives of Russia, our positions will, I believe, be much weaker," Zelenskyy noted.
