Regional offline and online platforms for communication between entrepreneurs and representatives of local authorities have begun operating in all regions of Ukraine, Deputy Head of the President's Office Viktor Mykyta said.

"The main objective of the initiative is to improve the economic and investment climate in the regions, increase the number of new enterprises, expand existing production facilities, improve the dynamics of local budget revenues, etc.," he said in Telegram channel on Tuesday.

According to Mykyta, the "Dialogue between the government and business" was created in pursuance of the instructions of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the aim of promptly resolving current problematic issues of entrepreneurs in each specific region and territorial community on the basis of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President.

He said the head of state draws attention to the importance of preserving and creating jobs in the regions, which has been repeatedly noted at Congress meetings in different parts of the country. Effective implementation of these tasks can only be ensured through multi-level, systemic communication with businesses, starting from communities and regions.

As Mykyta explained, as part of this work, together with the Economy Ministry, open online meetings of entrepreneurs with local authorities will be held weekly in each region on the basis of the regional military administration, where everyone will have the opportunity to convey to the leadership of the region and representatives of central executive authorities at the local level their proposals for improving the economic climate, as well as problematic issues that affect business development. It is noted that once a month such meetings will be held personally by the head of the region.

In addition, a regional forum will be held quarterly with the participation of representatives of budget-forming enterprises of the region, specialized ministries in accordance with the request, community leaders for personal communication, establishing connections, improving interaction.

Mykyta said local issues are subject to immediate response and resolution, and state-level surveys are formalized by appeals and proposals to the relevant institutions

"The new format of systemic and constructive dialogue between government and business at the regional level will allow for a timely response to requests from entrepreneurs, support them, and form a package of proposals that is critically important in war conditions for consideration at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine," Mykyta said.
