Syrsky notes good dynamics in use of attack drones in September

A positive dynamics of striking and destroying enemy targets with attack drones was recorded in September, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky has said, following a monthly meeting with commanders of unmanned systems units.

"147 servicemen of drone units, which are successfully destroying the enemy and its equipment, were encouraged by the honors of the Commander-in-Chief," he said on Facebook on Saturday.

Commander of the Unmanned Systems Force of the AFU Vadym Sukharevsky delivered a report regarding the formation of certain units, as well as the results of the use of drones in areas of combat missions. The meeting was held in the closed format via video linkup, Syrsky said.

The heads of other units of the AFU and other components of the defense forces of Ukraine also delivered reports on the development of capabilities of unmanned aerial systems units.

"I determined specific tasks to accelerate the development of this kind of forces, to increase the number of UAV units, to respond to new challenges from the enemy and the introduction of advanced technology on the battlefield," the Commander-in-Chief said.
