North of Donetsk region will remain without water supply for indefinite period due to shelling – regional authorities

Due to enemy shelling, about 260,000 people in the north of Donetsk region will remain without water supply for an indefinite period, said head of the Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin.

"Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka and nearby settlements, where about 260,000 people live in total, will have problems with the supply of water due to massive enemy shelling," he wrote on the Telegram channel on Thursday.

On September 28, the occupiers damaged two facilities of the municipal enterprise Waters of Donbas. Given the large amount of damage, there is no technical possibility of resuming the operation of the equipment.

The Regional Military Administration is working with local authorities to establish alternative water supply options. Currently, the supply of technical water is temporarily carried out from the river intake of the public utility Waters of Donbas.
