Defense Ministry conducting comprehensive inspection of food in military units
At the request of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, an inspection of the system of organizing food for military personnel in the northern, eastern and southern directions is underway.
According to the Defense Ministry's press service, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Rear Logistics Operator, as well as veterinary medicine specialists are involved in the inspections.
"The inspection covers all key stages – from the storage conditions of products in the warehouses of suppliers to the direct organization of the food process in military units performing combat missions," Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klymenkov said.
It is indicated that the Defense Ministry is taking the necessary measures to strengthen quality control of goods supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as to identify possible violations for their prompt resolution.
"We will report on the results of all inspections separately. We are not resting on our laurels and continue to work to ensure high-quality and balanced nutrition for our defenders, male and female," Klymenkov said.
The department said such checks will be conducted regularly in different regions of Ukraine without warning military units and suppliers.
