Three Ukrainian ICRC staff killed in Russian shelling, two more wounded – Ombudsman
Three Ukrainian citizens, who are full-time employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), were killed in Russian shelling, two more were wounded, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reported.
"The Russian Federation carried out artillery shelling on the village of Veroliubivka in Donetsk region. The ICRC staff were in a truck carrying humanitarian aid. The shelling is already known, but the ICRC, as well as the IFRC, are silent! No reaction, condemnation or expression of compassion! Thus, this silence only covers up the criminal policy of the Russian Federation!" Lubinets wrote on the Telegram channel.
He insists that the ICRC must formally and publicly acknowledge Russia's violation of the Geneva Conventions.
