URCS reprs, partners from International Red Cross Movement discuss issues of providing assistance to people from frontline regions
Representatives of regional organizations of the eastern region of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and their partners from the International Red Cross Movement discussed issues of providing assistance to people in the frontline regions controlled by the government of Ukraine.
"It is extremely important for us to provide timely assistance to people and this is not only about hygiene or food packages, but first of all about evacuation from dangerous areas and maximum support for internally displaced persons forced to flee their own homes," said President of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society Mykola Polischuk at a meeting in Dnipropetrovsk region.
According to him, over the past week, Kryvy Rih accepted almost a thousand such people.
Head of the Eastern Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society Yevhen Poliarush noted the need to strengthen the coordination of the URCS with partners from the International Red Cross Movement.
"It is important in today's critical conditions against the backdrop of growing challenges and threats to consolidate efforts in order to make operational management decisions on projects implemented in our region and strengthen coordination with partners of the International Red Cross Movement. Today, our strength is in unity," Poliarush emphasized.
