The number of people injured as a result of an air strike carried out by the Russian occupation army on the center of Kupyansk on August 28 continues to grow, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov has said on Thursday morning.
"As a result of the airstrike, a private house of 80 square meters went on fire, the building of the Kupyansk military administration, five-storied apartment buildings, a hotel, the building of the prosecutor's office and the court, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged. At least 17 people were injured, those hospitalized are in light and moderate condition," he said on the Telegram channel.
The official also said that on the night of Thursday, Russia shelled Odnorobivka with the Grad system. As a result of the strikes, two private houses and outbuildings were damaged, the power lines were damaged again after restoration. No casualties were reported.
In addition, enemy shelling in the past 24 hours caused fires in a number of settlements in the region. In particular, private houses and outbuildings went on fire in Doroshivka, a warehouse building on an area of 300 square meters and grass on an area of 2.5 hectares burned in Horiane, grass burned on an area of 1 hectare in Novoosynove, grass burned on an area of 2.5 hectares and garbage on an area of 500 square meters in Balakliya. Coniferous litter burned on an area of 5 hectares in the Kupyansk Forestry.
