Russians remain highly active in Pokrovsk axis – General Staff
The Defense Forces continue to resolutely counter the enemy’s attempts to advance deep into Ukrainian territory. Russian occupiers continue to try to use their advantage in manpower and air support, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"By now, the number of combat clashes has increased to 75. The enemy is currently most active in Pokrovsk axis – it has carried out almost a third of all attacks there," the message on the Telegram channel says.
The occupiers used aviation and artillery, striking the border areas of Sumy region. In particular, the areas of the settlements Fotovyzh, Stara Huta, Novooleksandrivka and Druzhba came under artillery fire. The enemy fired at Bachivsk with MLRS. They also carried out air strikes near Stepok, Myropillia, Mala Rybytsia, Kyianytsia and Krasnopillia.
In Kharkiv axis, Russian terrorists stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Vovchansk and Lyptsi eight times. The battle continues in Vovchansk.
In Kupiansk axis, they attacked units of the Ukrainian army seven times at once. In the areas of Hlushkivka, Kruhliakivka and Andriyivka, the attacks were repelled by the defense forces. The attack towards Lozova continues. The battle is ongoing. The occupiers carried out two air strikes with real bombs on Kupiansk-Vuzlovy.
In Lyman axis, the enemy attacked in the areas of Makiyivka, Nevske and Torske. In total, since the beginning of the day, there have already been six clashes in this direction, the battle near Makiyivka continues. The situation is under control. The areas of Osynove, Druzheliubivka and Serebrianka came under the blows of Russian bombs - in total, the occupiers used eight aerial bombs.
The Russians do not stop trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops in the northern direction, but they are receiving a tough rebuff. Thus, near Verkhnokamianske, Spirne and Pereizne, the occupiers tried seven times to push the Ukrainian units from their positions. All attacks have been stopped.
In Kramatorsk axis, the occupiers carried out three assault actions near Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar. Two of these clashes are ongoing.
In Toretsk axis, the number of enemy attacks has increased to eight. The enemy is attacking the areas of the settlements of Toretsk and Bila Hora, where Ukrainian defenders are repelling 2 assaults. In the areas of New York, Zalizne and Nelipivka, six clashes have already been completed. The aggressor's aircraft bombed Toretsk, and the occupiers also fired unguided air missiles at Dachne and New York.
In Pokrovsk axis, the largest number of clashes has been recorded. Since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have already made 23 attempts to push the Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Vodiane, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Zhelanne, Kalynivka, Ptychye and attacked in the direction of Zelene Pole. The defense forces are holding back the pressure and have repelled 17 enemy attacks, six battles are still ongoing. Three air strikes have been carried out on Oleksandropil.
In Kurakhove direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attacked Ukrainian units nine times. They tried to advance near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Oleksandrivka and Kostiantynivka. The latter was attacked with unguided rockets.
In Vremivka direction, one enemy assault action towards Kostiantynivka was repelled. Russian unguided air missiles exploded near Vuhledar and Novodonetske - the invaders hit with weapons from Ka-52 helicopters.
In the area of Mala Tokmachka in Orikhiv axis, the occupiers once unsuccessfully tried to advance forward, but were harshly rebuffed.
A similar situation is in Prydniprovske axis - one enemy attack was also repelled there.
In other directions, there are no significant changes.
