Ethnic Policy Service not planning humanitarian response measures in Kursk region

The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience does not plan to implement any humanitarian response measures in the areas of its competence in the territories of the Russian Federation, particularly that of Kursk region controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"Kursk region is not part of Ukraine. Taking this into account, the State Service for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience does not implement and does not plan to implement any humanitarian response measures in the areas of its competence in the territories of the Russian Federation, particularly that of Kursk region controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine," it said in response to a request from the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency on Thursday.

As reported, AFU Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky said on August 15 the AFU control 1,150 square kilometers of the territory of Russia's Kursk region, on which 82 settlements are situated.
