In the town of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, as of Saturday morning, the bodies of two dead children have been identified - these are girls of 9 and 11 years old, examinations are continuing to identify six more people, including probably one child, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) reports on Telegram.

According to the latest data, the number of people killed as a result of shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation in Kostiantynivka is 14 people, 43 people were injured.

At 11:05 on August 9, 2024, the enemy launched an airstrike on the town of Kostiantynivka, previously with an X-38 missile. The hit occurred at a local shopping center, where there were food and hardware stores.

Investigative actions are currently ongoing. The number of victims is being specified.

Under the procedural guidance of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pretrial investigation is carried out in criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
