Staff HQ approves further action plan to strengthen Ukraine's air defense – Zelenskyy
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff Headquarters approved the further action plan to strengthen the country's air defense, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said on Friday.
"Staff HQ meeting. A report by Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk. The HQ approved the further action plan to strengthen our air defense for the protection of people, critical infrastructure, and military facilities," he said on the Telegram channel.
The participants of the meeting also heard a report by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky on the situation in all key axes, particularly in the south of Ukraine, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, Luhansk and Kharkiv regions, on the defensive measures in the areas from which Russia launched attacks on Ukraine.
Also, the Staff HQ listened to a report by Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleh Ivaschenko regarding new terrorist plans of Russia.
"We can see everything and we are prepared," the head of state emphasized, adding that Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk also delivered an important report on the special long-range operations.
Interior Minister of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, for his part, reported on the comprehensive protection of schools in cooperation with local authorities and communities.
