Luxembourg Red Cross helps repair premises of regional children's hospital in Bila Tserkva
The Luxembourg Red Cross mission in Ukraine helped renovate several rooms of the Kyiv Regional Children's Hospital No. 2 in Bila Tserkva.
“After the repair work in our medical institution, in addition to high-quality medical care, we are now able to provide comfortable conditions for children to stay in the hospital,” said Natalia Bihari, Director General of the Kyiv Regional Children's Hospital No. 2.
According to her, after the renovation, two physiotherapy rooms, two game rooms and auxiliary rooms meet all modern requirements, including inclusivity.
“In addition to the renovated game rooms and physiotherapy rooms, the dismantling and installation of metal-plastic windows were carried out. Replacing the old windows was our dream,” Bihari said.
Gulnamo Khudobakhshova, head of the Luxembourg Red Cross mission in Ukraine, said that the repairs were made at the expense of a private foreign donor who wanted to help the children's hospital.
“The mission of the Luxembourg Red Cross in Ukraine is mainly focused on the rehabilitation of medical institutions, especially for children. We believe that children will feel comfortable in clean and bright renovated rooms,” Khudobakhshova said, stressing that the mission not only helps repair clinics, but also provides medical equipment.
According to her, the Luxembourg Red Cross has been cooperating with the Ukrainian Red Cross for more than 30 years.
“Together we have already implemented many projects to restore medical institutions, both in Kyiv region and in other areas … Together with the Ukrainian Red Cross, we plan to continue to support the restoration of medical and other social infrastructure in Ukraine," Khudobakhshova stressed.
