Drone hits house of Russian opposition leader Ponomarev

On Thursday, August 1, a Russian drone hit the courtyard of the house of Russian opposition leader, ex-deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Ilya Ponomarev in Kyiv region.

As Ponomarev stated on the telethon, the drone exploded five meters from the entrance to the building. The opposition leader and his wife received shrapnel wounds.

"There are a lot of wounds, my wife has a concussion. But this is the wreckage of the drone and the house itself, glass and all that. The explosion was literally seven meters away from us - two meters to the wall and five meters to the place where the drone hit. The house saved us because the walls are quite serious there, and that's why we're alive. But there was a lot of blood, there were a lot of wounds, but they weren't all that severe. We will live, we will defeat the aggressor," Ponomarev said.

He noted that the drone exploded after the end of the air raid siren, and suggested that the strike was aimed specifically at his house.
