Several venues for second Peace Summit being considered – MFA
Ukraine is considering several venues for the second Peace Summit, the diplomatic process is still ongoing, said spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Heorhiy Tykhyi.
“As for the second Peace Summit, this process is still ongoing, several venues are being considered. I will stop here because it is premature to reveal all the cards while the diplomatic process is still ongoing,” he said at a briefing on Tuesday.
The spokesperson also pointed out that Ukraine has repeatedly confirmed the possibility of involving Russia at the second Peace Summit.
"We continue to adhere to all positions," Tykhyi added.
He stressed that Ukraine had not started a war and had never renounced peace.
"Ukraine is striving for peace like no other country. But we understand that this must be a just peace. And the question is not to bring Russia to the negotiating table, but to conduct these negotiations virtuously. And two factors are really important here: pressure on the battlefield, pressure in the international arena. These are the two components. This is what really affects Russia's ability, Russia's desire to negotiate in good faith," the spokesperson said.
