U.S. Ambassador visits Poltava Regional Library, meets with reps of independent media
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said that during her trip to Poltava region she visited the Poltava regional library and met with representatives of civil society and independent media, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine reported on Tuesday.
"Today I had the pleasure of visiting the Poltava Regional Library to visit the Window on America - a center for young people where they can communicate, exchange ideas and acquire new skills," the Telegram message said.
Brink said she met with English teachers and students to "hear their thoughts and answer their questions."
Also, the U.S. Ambassador in Poltava held a meeting with representatives of civil society and independent media - the OPORA civil network and the Poltavska Khvylia (Poltava Wave) publication.
"As part of my visit to Poltava, I met with representatives of civil society and independent media - the OPORA Civic Network and Poltavska Khvylia - to hear their views on the war, as well as learn about their efforts aimed at strengthening democracy in Ukraine by supporting press freedom and independent judiciary," Brink said.
