Agriculture ministry to send UAH 72.1 mln to farmers to refund cost of planting material
The Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine under the budget-funded program to develop hop growing, planting of young gardens, vineyards and berry fields will compensate UAH 72.1 million to farmers for buying planting material, the ministry has reported on its website.
The decision was made at a meeting of the ministry's commission for state support of grape, hop growing and gardening.
In particular, 56 enterprises from 18 regions will receive compensation for the purchase of planting material of fruit and berry crops, grapes and hops. New plantations are laid on 1,255 hectares.
In general, the regional commissions are received documents for reimbursement from 62 market players, and six applications were rejected for the revision and reconsideration.
As reported, the national budget of 2018 will allocate UAH 4 billion to farmers in the framework of state support of agribusiness for the development of animal husbandry, UAH 1 billion for farms, almost UAH 945 million - to reduce the price of agricultural equipment, and UAH 300 million - for the development of horticulture and viticulture.
