Anex Tour to buy Ukrainian subsidiary of Russia's UTair
Anex Tour plans to finalize its acquisition of the Ukrainian subsidiary of Russia's UTair airline by the end of this year, Forbes.ua publication has reported.
The co-owner of Anex Tour Serhat Kockar said that his company will buy the Ukrainian operator certificate issued to UTair Ukraine, adding that the airline's business has nothing valuable left.
Kockar said that his company only has the aircraft of Anex Tour, which the tour operator transferred to the airline for it to manage.
"The deal would allow for controlling and managing all the processes of business and provide better services," he said.
After the completion of the deal it is expected that the airline will be renamed as Azur Air Ukraine and will be developed as a charter carrier with three Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which are currently operated by UTair Ukraine.
Azur Air Ukraine will fly to Turkey, Egypt and Spain, and next year there are plans to launch charter flights to Bulgaria, Greece and Italy.
According to the state register of companies and individuals-businessmen, Azur Air Ukraine was registered in Baryshivka (Kyiv region) in November 2014. Its head is Karen Antonov who is co-chair of the supervisory board of UTair Ukraine. Among the founders of the company is Ukrainian Sky LLC (Kyiv), and its ultimate beneficiaries are Elvis Abduraimov and Ramis Karayev, who work in the marketing department of the Ukrainian division of Anex Tour.
