Justice Ministry files lawsuit with HACC to recover network of gas stations, other assets of Tatneft in Ukraine

On January 27, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine filed lawsuits with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to apply a sanction in the form of asset recovery for the benefit of the state against PJSC Tatneft named after V.D. Shashin (Tatneft), Deputy Minister Inna Bohatykh reported on Facebook.
"The assets that are being recovered: corporate rights of enterprises operating a network of gas stations and owning oil depots, gas stations, vehicles and special equipment in Kharkiv and Poltava regions, which are estimated at about UAH 2 billion," the Deputy Minister noted.
According to her, the reasons for such an appeal are that Tatneft is one of the largest Russian oil companies, which is controlled by the highest political leadership and provides significant revenues to the budget of the aggressor country, and its products can be used by the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
In addition, as Bohatykh pointed out, the Ministry of Justice filed three more similar lawsuits - against executive director of the Russian state media company Russia Today Kirill Vyshinsky (two real estate properties, two vehicles and shares in two legal entities); Alexander Kuzmenko, who held the position of the so-called "Minister of Culture of Kherson region" (three real estate properties) and Volodymyr Serhiyenko, who participated in propaganda talk shows on Russian television and radio (1/2 share in one real estate property and 50% of the share of corporate rights in Health Care Ukraine LLC).
As reported, in August 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine transferred the seized assets of Russian Tatneft to the management of Ukrnafta, and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in June 2024 allowed Ukrnafta to receive them. In particular, this concerns more than 50% of Tatneft-AZS-Ukraine LLC, Poltava-Capital LLC and Kharkiv-Capital LLC.
