Ukraine received $1.35 billion in grant from the United States, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported.

"The U.S. government sent funding through the U.S. Agency for International Development [USAID] and in coordination with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and the U.S. Department of State," Shmyhal wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, these funds will be directed to priority humanitarian and social programs.

"The attracted funding is used to reimburse priority social and humanitarian expenses of the state budget, in particular, to ensure the payment of salaries to teachers," the press service of the Ministry of Finance clarified.

It is indicated that the funds were transferred to the state budget of Ukraine through the World Bank project Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance (PEACE in Ukraine).

"Direct budget support from the United States since February 2022 has reached $28.2 billion. This is the largest financial assistance to Ukraine among all countries in the world," Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said.

The Ministry of Finance reminds that this year Ukraine expects $7.8 in budget support from the United States, of which $5.2 billion has already been mobilized.
