Energy Efficiency Fund increases GreenDIM grant for solar power plant installation to UAH 2 mln

The supervisory board of the Energy Efficiency Fund has approved changes to the GreenDIM program, and now, starting October 22, homeowners' associations and housing cooperatives will be able to receive a loan of up to UAH 2 million for the installation of a solar power plant, the press service of the Energy Efficiency Fund reported.

In addition, the rules for the participation in the program are being simplified and financial support is being increased. In particular, homeowners' associations and housing cooperatives with an area of more than 8,000 square meters will have the opportunity to receive a grant of up to UAH 2 million for the installation of a solar power plant. The requirement for the mandatory presence of an individual heating point has been canceled, which may attract more participants to the program.

Now program participants can also count on a larger amount of compensation for the cost of additional materials used (up to 20% of the grant amount for the main equipment).

From October 22, the maximum grant amount for the main equipment for installing a solar power plant, in the case of using batteries with a capacity of at least twice the inverter capacity, will be UAH 36,000/kW.

More details about the changes are on the fund's website.

On Monday, October 21, the Cabinet of Ministers launched the information resource EnergoSvidomi, where it provides information on current energy independence programs for private households, providing for the possibility of an interest-free loan of up to UAH 480,000 for 10 years; GreenDIM for homeowners' associations and housing cooperatives, covering 70% of the cost of installing equipment; for small and medium-sized enterprises - up to UAH 150 million at 5-7-9% for the development of environmentally friendly energy solutions.
