ASKA insures Shakhtar's UEFA Cup for EUR50,000

ASKA insurance company (Kyiv) and FC Shakhtar Donetsk have signed an agreement on the insurance of the UEFA Cup Shakhtar won in this season, according to a press release of the insurer.

The UEFA Cup is a silver cup with a weight of about 16 kilograms has been insured for EUR 50,000 fire damage, theft or damage while being stored or transported.

According to the press service, the need to insure the UEFA Cup is caused by the tradition according to which each club player has the right to bring the trophy to his home.

ASKA insurance company was established on June 20, 1990.

ASKA is a full-service insurance company, which offers 16 voluntary and 10 obligatory kinds of insurance.

Its regional chain consists of 36 branches and 66 representative offices all over Ukraine. It has a representative office in Moscow.

The largest shareholders in the company are SCM Finance Limited and ASKA President Sosis, together owning a 99.1% stake in the company.
